Hey, guys we are back with one of the scintilating set on unique facts related to some of the most unique sculptures of the world. I hope you can carve your way up till the end.
Q.1. This is a statue right at the front of Museum of National History, New York depicting an important figure of US History with 2 people walking surrounding him. However during the recent black lives matter movement, Museum decided to remove this Statue due to its slightly offending nature. My simple question is who was the man?

b.) Theodore Roosevelt
He was a slave owner and this fact came to forefront recently again. It felt slightly offensive to black people because the people walking on foot around him were his slaves.

Q.2. This is one of the most interesting sculptures featuring a mother crying with dead child. Where in the world would you find this sculpture?

c.) Bhopal
This was erected in the city of Bhopal, India. It pays honour to the deceased in Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

Q.3. Given below is an interesting sculpture, called "The Monument to the Anonymous Passers-by" having 7 statues of common people, some even half underground. Serving as memorial against the oppressive rule in the country of X. Some of the history enthusiasts might connect this country and monument with the "Solidarity" movement.
Identify X.

a.) Poland
This monument is in one of the cities of Poland right at the centre of city commemorating people who went missing during Martial Law.

Q.4. This is one of the most famous English perosnality having a shining Sculpture at Guildhall Square, Portsmouth. However it's unveiling had its fair share of controversy, especially the fact that it was going against the tradition of people of his fraternity being honoured in this way. Who is this personality or what is his profession?

a.) Charles Dickens
It is the statue of Charles Dickens at his childhood home. Interestingly, English writers hated to be remembered apart from their literary works. George Orwell didn't even wanted his biography to be ever written after his death.

Q.5.These are some of the sculptures in Vatican featuring creations of great artists and sculptors like Raphael and Michaelangelo. Interestingly though, all the penis of male sculptures were either destroyed or covered with X, where destruction was deemed too time consuming. Thus these sculptures bear the mark of a certain dark age of Vatican in the form of these X.
Identify X.

b.)Fig Leaves
Reportedly metal fig leaves were made to cover the penis but on order of pope cemented fig leaves were carved over these masterpieces.

You thought I would end a set on sculptures without mentioning the best sculptor ever, Michaelangelo??
